Format
The Community Building Institute is a synchronous webinar series presented via the Zoom video conferencing platform. Guest presenters address the fundamentals of the daily topic and provide opportunities for questions and participant discussion.
Microcredential
All participants in the Community Building Institute are eligible to receive a microcredential* from the University of Montana. The cost of this credential is fully covered by the registration fee. You can review the microcredential on AccelerateMT.
*A microcredential is a digital form of certification indicating demonstrated competency or mastery in a specific skill or set of skills. It can be added to LinkedIn, resumes, social media, websites, etc. in order to verify the skills you have developed to employers and other individuals.
Earning Requirements
- Complete a pre-survey to self-report on knowledge of CBI topics before series begins. (15 minutes)
- Attend all six CBI webinars via Zoom (in approved circumstances, a participant may watch a recording of the missed session and complete a supplemental written assignment). (1 hour 15 minutes each, 7.5 hours total)
- Complete one reflection with provided questions for each session. (15 minutes each, 1.5 hours total)
- Complete a final written reflection to a provided prompt at the conclusion of the CBI series. (30 minutes)
- Complete a post-survey to self-report knowledge of CBI topics when series ends. (15 minutes)
